I enjoyed reading both the history of
Paldiski, seeing the photographs and also reading about your yearly
conference and also agree how important it is to provide support for teachers
and students who are forging forward in such difficult educational
terrain.
We, DKG NL, are located in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, which is located just about 2 1/2 hours due south of Laredo, Texas, USA Monterrey is the industrial city of Mexico and has around 4 1/2 million people. The city of Monterrey is completely surrounded by the Rocky Mountains, which makes the city majestic in appearance.
We, DKG NL, right now have been working hard since July of 2019 on a project titled "Educated Women = Educated Families". This is a program that is providing scholarships for 33 women who are studying their college preparation in Education or Psychology. Each student has been coupled with one of 33 DKG NL members who are mentoring one of the scholarship recipients.
This has been financially possible through
working in alliance with three different
Foundations who have donated funds in support of this endeavor.

"Everyone participates - Everyone Eats"
The second project we are working on is in Alianza with many associations here in Monterrey which are providing the funds for a food bank for those who lost jobs during the pandemic.
